3 simple Rules
1. Does it look OK? If yes, proceed to 2,
2. Does it smell OK? If yes, proceed to 3.
3. Nibble a bit. Does it taste OK? If yes, enjoy
Regularly eat tins of fruit that "Went" over a year ago from when we had a mad splurge on stockpiling, (Following being snowed in a few times & running out of fresh fruit.)
We had some Baileys that was 11 months out of date. Still sealed, so we gave it a bash.
Slid down very nicely & stayed there
(Decided to drink the bottle quite quickly once opened tho'
) Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
I wouldn't worry too much ... people in third world countries would ravish those mincepies. Go by taste and smell.. and heat them in the microwave ... with a dob of cream ... gorgeous !!
ps I have kept mincepies for over a month past their sell by date and they were perfectly fine :beer:0
