New Printer needed - Advice please?

Hi all,
After using the same printer for the past decade or so, my HP 750 AIO printer has finally packed in on me
It couldn't have happened at a worse time, due to needing to print very frequently and with 6 people in the house you can understand how frantic that might be.
I was just hoping that someone could recommend me a good All-In-One printer, Laser OR Inkjet (preferably laser due to quicker time but inkjet would be fine) that is also easy on the ink cartridge? I usually always go to my local CartridgeWorld to refill my black ink, but the printer seems to get through it quickly, making costs high, and the colour always ends up pink so I rarely use it.
It would also be a plus if it was wireless, but again, as long as it's reliable and easy on the ink then that's fine too.
My budget is around £50-£100, but if a good model requires extra then that's okay (I don't usually know how much they go for these days)

Take a look at Epson printers. Compatibles are cheap and readily available.
www.argos.co.uk, Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys.
Worth pointing out that any that have bottom fed paper trays cannot use thick paper / card as it has to fold it over.0 -
Before you buy a printer look at this:

I have had this on my Canon for a couple of months now and I no0 longer have to worry about the extortionate price of ink cartridges

Epson, check out compatibles on ebay mine use the 711/15 series cartridges £6.50 for 3 fulls sets + 3 black.
The reason your colour comes out pink is probably because you don't us e the printer on colour much and the heads are dirty. Have you tried using the cleaning cycle?"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Is there a specific model I should look out for? I'm a little confused by how there's now 4-5 cartidges instead of 2, so if there is a model I should be looking for then thank you in advance

Do they also work if I only use black ink and not the cyan/magenta etc?grizzly1911 wrote: »Epson, check out compatibles on ebay mine use the 711/15 series cartridges £6.50 for 3 fulls sets + 3 black.

Which model do you have and where do you buy your ink? Ink at that price looks a steal!0 -
More inks mean you only change the colour needed, two cartridge printers, one for black and one for colour will mean you have to change it when any one of the three colours it contains is used, regardless of how much of the other two colours remain.
If you want to print photos then a printer which uses six or more colours will be more suitable.

If you get an SX range printer from Argos, check they have not given you an XP Expression printer as these do not have readily available compatibles yet.

I have an SX218, doubt it is still available but there are others in the range that use the same cartridges.
You can choose to print greysscale (black) through printer options, saving on colour.
