gas cooker grill keeps blowing out

I inherited new world system one built in cooker when I moved in. There seems to be a problem with the grill. When cooking bacon or sausage etc it blows out with a bang ( which terrifies the dog.) It seems to be getting worse. Does anyone know if it is a fault which can be repaired or is it time to buy a new cooker?

get a RGI asap it might be repairable but i wouldn't bank on it, in the mean time don't use it until it's been looked at
