Further to my post yesterday and my problems, I have done as advised and run the CC Cleaner and downloaded the AVG spy report. As requested I have attached these reports. To lso try to help I have downloaded a trial vervison of registry Repair 2.1 and that did a run on the registry and came up with a lot of problems which it repaired. I am aware these things may pull up things to make it look worse than it is but thought it may help.
If it gives a clue to my problem, I found last night that I cannot get either the main system or back up to work at home, but on connecting it at work, through an ethernet cable I can get it to work in Safte Mode.
I as also concerned that the Windows Back Up was switched off and would no swit off but have now realised that my Acer Laptop has it's own Back Up system, so I may be able to recover something from there but I don't know how to go about this.
Since using the Registry Repair, I have not tried to restart in normal mode, but I will do this next.
