Fastest way to pay off credit card

I had an interest free deal wwwith Virgin and just notice it has expired. My statement says "Payment due date: 5/12/12".
Is there any way I can get the money to them in time so I don't get hit with the interest penalty?
Thanks,
Jon

I'm not sure. I am with first direct. If I can, does it get there instantly then?0

'payment due date' may or may not be the same day as your interest free period ends.0

It will get to Virgin's bank instantly - how long it takes to get from there to your credit card account...................??????
Some cards take 1 day, others take "several" which is why they say "allow x days to reach your account"0 -

You can send faster payments with First Direct but your credit card may or may not apply the payment straight away. As the payment date is Wednesday though, if you make the payment today it should credit by then so you should be OK.0 -
Sorted, thank you!0
