Canon printer woes

Just when i need it most my printer has gone into one...
Every printed document whether scanned or printed from a word doc on the PC is distorted. Lines of letters are out of alignment. There is a white line down the page.
So i went through all the maintenance programmes. Alignment etc etc. Nothing worked.
New black cartridge fitted... still same.
Printed in red and blue and its worse... letters ar all distorted out of focus.
Anything else i can try??? Lost now!

If you haven't already, uninstall the drivers and software, restart the PC then install the drivers and software.
You can either use the disc which came with the printer, or download the software from Canon.0 -

There should be a deep clean option. It takes a couple of minutes to run. I had similar issues with a canon and this solved it.I'm retiring at 55. You can but dream.0
