Hi There
Can retired people get credit card balance transfers?
My father has a NatWest CC, he has approx £1750 on the card and is paying off £55-00 per month, about £40.00 is interest charges, so so basically it will take him years to pay this off.
He lives on his various pensions and disability allowances, and he is a home owner.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Paul

There is certainly no law against it. It depends on how the providers view that person's financial situation. Can retired people get credit card balance transfers?
If you trust your dad to repay the money you could BT to a card of yours.Any help would be appreciated.

My OH is 70, he has recently got a 13 month interest free card that allows balance transfers and purchases, and he got a much higher credit limit than he had expected.
He does however have no debt and a fairly decent pension. I think it would depend on income and outgoings.0
