ukala boots bargain again :)

I had a pair of these ugg type boots last year from amazon via all the links here, thought I would see if they might be available again and yes! V limited colours and styles are on sale but I managed a pair in grey size 4 and with the 25% off discount on fashion and shoes on amazon front page they came in at a v reasonable £24.71 :)

Worth a look to see if they have your size, we have found these boots to be really decent sturdy quality not like a lot of the ugg *style* out there.

  • Could you give us a bit more detail, as we don't have to much to go on from what you have said. I am interested, but don't know where to look! :D

Read some of the reviews,I nearly broke my neck in a pair of this brand of Boots bought last year, they were soooo slippy under foot.

Here's a review I just got from Amazon to give you an insight.

These boots are marketed as being part of the EMU company. Do not be fooled, the quality of these boots bears no resemblance to EMU shearling boots. I had difficulty determining which was the left and right foot because they were such a strange shape. The lining is made of wool, not sheepskin fleece and the material sheds very badly as soon as you put the boots on on. I only paid £18 for these boots, but I don't think they were even worth that amount of money - I don't think they will wear well at all, and the soles are very rigid and slippery - it is not possible to flex your foot when wearing them. Also, the Ukala logo is in bright pink which makes the boot look like footwear for children. I have returned them to Amazon for a refund and will save up my money for a pair of better quality EMU boots that will last the test of time

Just in case anyone doesn't know: These are different from UGGs as they are wool-lined, which is woven into the boots. UGGs and EMUs are full sheepskin (inside and out). Even Bearpaw boots are only 60% sheepskin (which I found after buying them). The sheepskin boots keep their shape and 'plushness' whereas the wool ones don't. I always wondered what the fuss was about UGGs until I bought some. Obviously some people don't want to spend lots on UGGs but I would say try Bearpaw boots for a little bit extra maybe. Although, these might be okay for throwing on now and again. Just my opinion - you don't have to agree :)

I'm just making people aware,I even emailed Ukala and didn't get anywhere, but hopefully they have changed the sole by now, they were a deathtrap under certain conditions in the rain.

I have cold feet & didn't find them as warm as my other Sheepskin boots as these are Merino wool I think.
  • I bought a pair of the Ukala lily boots last year and have worn them to death, I love them! The heels haven't collapsed and the boots are very warm. I even chucked mine in the washing machine (don't think you're meant to) and they came up lovely.
  • But were the bottoms slippy? I have 3 pairs of uggs and I was considering buying a pair of these as well, but not if they are slippy.
  • Picked some up last time there was a thread and got them from amazon at less than £15 for which they're not bad! They are slippery in the rain though so wouldn't recommend at £30 plus...
