Filezilla ftp

I use Mozilla Firefox as my main browser & use the Ftp associated with it - Fireftp. However, when you view my website using IE, the memberspage doesn't look as it should eg, as in FF.

Is this because I use FF's ftp? If I used a more universal ftp, would that mean both browsers would have the same look? If this is the case, do you know of any FREE easy to use ftp's?

Ftp programs shouldn't have any effect on your files - they only transfer the file. You could check by using another like FTP Commander.

More likely it is something in your code - I believe Firefox complies with web standards, whereas IE doesn't, so you will find that pages can be displayed differently in different browsers.

Edit: I have just read that Firefox does not fully comply with web standards, but I suspect the problem still lies within your code. You can check if your code complies with the standards here:

http://validator.w3.org/

You could try Opera and see how it looks on there (probably be different again!).

when you say ie do you mean 6 or 7? I'd expect it to look right in ie7.
