RAC Car Insurance - Dont use them

Paid my december premium at the end of November!
Cancelling policy for tomorrow as I am ending my finance agreement on the car (had for 2.5 years, new job forces sale) and they tell me I am due no rebate and as January would have been my last premium (duie 24th December) - i have to pay this on 6th Decemeber.
Shocking customer service - sure there will be some T&Cs they will throw back at me, but time or year, reasons for giving car up! Could really do with out it!:mad::mad:
Get this publicised - dont use them!:money:

Nothing specifically related to RAC, this is normal. Why? Because when you buy car insurance you buy it for a year, that is the basis on which the insurance is costed. If you chose to pay monthly you are in effect repaying a loan, not paying for insurance on a monthly basis.0

Can you find an insurance company that dont want an admin fee for cancelling a policy early.
Have they asked for any money? Some cheaper companies would be saying nothing back and a £50 admin fee to cancel the policy please.
You dont pay it gets passed to the debt collectors.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Can you tell us what your policy documentation says about cancellation re fees and refunds?
How does this compare to what the insurer is now telling you?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
