Pocket a £10 flight with Ryanair - including all taxes and charges!

Promotion Extended 1 May: Ryanair has extended its promotion until midnight Thursday 3 May. It has also reported a delay of sending email confirmations by around 6 hours, but strongly advises passengers not to make a duplicate booking, but to review reservations on its site for peace of mind.
24 April 2007
What's the deal?
No frills (and boy does it mean no-frills) airline Ryanair has cut the cost of 5 million fares to Europe, with many at only £10 each way; most importantly this INCLUDES taxes and charges. The promotion includes flights within the next five months, though sadly excludes school breaks, but you must book before Thursday 3 May to get them.
Speedily find the specific cheap flights
In a nutshell, use the FlightChecker, a special free, non-commercial tool I had built to find budget airline special offers. It works by you entering the maximum price you’re willing to pay before taxes and charges, the airports and date range and it finds the flights with you.
For this promotin specifically, select flights UNDER £1; in fact when the results appear you want flights listed as costing £0.01. At that point visit Ryanair and check out the total price including charges.
The system is speedy, but its not perfect as there's no hard or fast rule with this promotion; some 1p flights will come to £10, others more, but if you’re flexible with your dates and the airport you fly from, you’re likely to find a bargain within a few minutes, and it's much much quicker using the Flightchecker than not.

Ryanair charges you to check baggage in!
It’s £10 per item each way if you do it at the airport and £5 if you pre-book. So if possible take hand luggage only. Also, you’re charged handling fees for paying with a debit cards (70p) as well as credit cards (£1.75). This is per person, per flight.

thanks!
can i buy a seat for a child under one?
if i can this would be 1p & taxes and include a baggage allowance, or £7 incl taxes if i don't book him a seat, but i'd rather have the extra luggage allowance and more room....
edit - just tried and it wouldn't let me!0 -
You could book the child as an adult. It wont ask for age.0

Thanks, richardw. Just booked a day trip to Dublin from East Midlands for £40 for myself and partner on 30 June. This space has been intentionally left blank0

Just wondering why the taxes for one of the flights i was looking at was quoted at £25.20 when i think i read they wouldn't exceed £10.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0

Skyscanner (https://www.skyscanner.net) is a better tool for finding cheap flights,
The flight checker is pretty pointless with only six airlines, excluding Easyjet - Skyscanner has dozensMy policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.0 -

I disagree, both have their benefits.
Skyscanner is more comprehensive and covers more airlines and destinations, however the graphs are a bit vague for a quick look.
If you are after flights from any of the airlines Flightchecker features ,then this is a far better search tool. You can set prices to your budget, therefor filtering out unsuitable results. Im sure more will come on board in future.
Skyscanner has been around for years, when it first started it wasnt as comprehensive.0 -
