Haven't tallied mine up lately but the 8 pint whisky bottle's pretty heavy now. I know one time I emptied it I had enough to tax the car.0

I do this too, I have just emptied £63 in three months from my change jar. Keep up the good work!0

We do it too and its really worth the money we save
1. Started one Oct 2011 until March 2012 and saved up £180 for our Turkey trip over Easter
2. Started another one again just afterwards and steadily getting heavier
I prefer the classical tin box where we just dont see and know how much goes in, thats when we really get the feeling that's free money saved from all the lose change. Sometimes, if we spend lower than our planned weekly spend, I just go and put a tenner in there

I put every bit of change less than a £1 coin in a roses tin, I generally manage to save sufficient (+ or - £20) to insure the car. Which was £452 in September 12. Keep up the good work.]Mortgage 1. At start £46,000, may 1996 jan 11 £27363.58  Dec 11 £25,289.00 December 12 £21,882.68
june 2013, £[STRIKE]18,948 18,182[/STRIKE][/ September 13. Funds available to clear the darn thing! Yay! :j0
