Car warranties - good or bad experiences?

-
I had a fairly good experience with a Nissan warranty a few years back - timing chain stretched on a '54 (then 2 years old) Micra. Took it to local Nissan dealer for warranty, they asked Arnold Clarke who I'd bought the car off, and had it serviced at to verify the parts used in servicing. This took 3-4 days, as Clarke's couldn't find the paperwork - once they turned up with that, I had a fixed car 2 days later.
A bit of hassle, but as I saved money using the AC (Motorstore, not Nissan) garage, to service the car, rather than Nissan then that didn't bother me unduly.
Of course, there's still the fact that a 2 yr old car had a stretched timing chain, but it's not like Nissan cars aren't known for that!0
