Morning all.
Bossymoo: When my DD was small she stacked things up to scale the wall to get to her advent calendar. We found her in a heap on the floor covered in chocolate, having ripped the front off completely.
Well today, I am only doing half day paid stuff and will then be out and about so no flying except for dailies and am about to do a whole stack of washing up as once again I didn't do any yesterday. I am such a sloth.
Have a good day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
We have grumbles about raided advent calendars. I threaten every year not to buy them but relent.
We have snow coming down and settling in Essex. There is nothing on the weather about it!
DS1 didn't go college yesterday. College phoned and suggested college is not for him. I feel crushed. He is monosyllabic and stubborn.
Christmas shopping was not very successful. I was preoccupied with the college situation. DH had to leave the housing appeal to pick up DS3 from school. He banged his broken hip on a table and was in agony.
I'm meant to be working today but that depends on if the school is shut. Essex doesn't cope with the white stuff very well. I fell very smug I've already got the kids new snow boots.0 -
Been flying since 3am....there was no snow here at 6am when I went out to utility and swapped the WM to TD - was cleaning underneath dining table to hear DD3 shrieking - in my rush to get up managed to crack my head on the table :mad::mad: to hear we have snow and it's settling - I am going to have one HUUUUUUUGE lump later, but thanks to this thread I am all ready for it......lurking with a quick cuppa update my list then I will get my shovel and grit outThe cold never bothered me anyway0

Well the snow was not expected by me, a clear sign obviously that I need to have more ME time watching grown up TV and f@cebook time. But DD3 started asking for gloves, hat and scarf and for once it didn't end in a mad frenzy of me tearing the house apart to find them......within 15 seconds of me telling her where they were she FOUND them and was racing to the mirror to prink and dink herself ready for school :T:T:T :Tgot to be worth all the hard work flying.
In a short while I am going to get my Dr M@rtens out of the wardrobe and put by the back door......I cannot risk slipping over at this late stage of pregnancy, grit or no grit, sadly there is no way for me to go through the garage to the utility, so I will just have to get used to dragging my feet again :rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Kitchen all ship shape, off to sort laundry next and to the shower. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Good morning
Well it is snowy here and unsurprisingly everything has ground to a halt! I had planned to take the kiddies to the RHS gardens today for Christmassy gardening & craft fun. I was watching the weather & listening to travel reports. I am afraid I snapped at DH when he got in from walking the dog (he has been taking him to the nature reserve early this week before he goes to work :T) He came home and announced that 'you are not going anywhere!' I said that I will choose where I go, and when! I just don't like the inference that I can't make a sensible decision, for the safety of me & the children without his say so! It took my kids an hour to get to school (roads gridlocked). I am hoping the primary school stays open until 3.15 as normal (they start early, and have clubs at 1.30 - so often close at 1.30 on days like this) I don't fancy playing referee for 4 hours instead on 2!
So we are now planning our picnic on the LR floor. I will get out some crafty things to do in a mo, to make up for our missed outingHo hum!
Flying wise - all bins out (hopefully will be collected). I need to check the lists to see what I can do today.
Only 2 schools in our borough are actually closed today - light weights!0 -
Just got the recylcing bins in and fed the birds, gee it's cold. I want to go to a neighbouring town to the shops but I'm going to give it another HH for any traffic to clear then take the back roads.
WM going on next. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
