I decided to be kind to myself and have a super-lazy day today, but I'm ready to crack on now and hopefully it will look like I've done *something* before DH gets home :rotfl: I have a list as long as my arm for tomorrow so really should try to get as much done tonight in preparation as possible.

Monday - living room, hallway, stairs
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Clear the floor of clutter[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove anything now which can give more space for putting the tree up (or tidy your tree if it is up)[/STRIKE] - Need to buy a tree and decorations though as they got destroyed in the great-washing-machine-leak of 2012 :o
    Level Two
Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room - Not done yet as I really can't bear our awful hoover - really need to get a new one and persevere in the mean time.
[STRIKE]Wipe and water plants [/STRIKE] I've managed to accidentally kill them all, so this is an easy one!
    Level Three
    Wash the windows
Wipe the paintwork in the hallway and up the stairs

    Extras
Make cards for close friends and family / buy for work, etc
    Write some cards

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
    Find and wipe the worksurfaces
    Level Two
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Clean WM and DW filters and top up rinse aid/salt
Sort the cupboard under the sink
    Level Three
Wipe the table, including the legs
Sort through tea towels, table cloths etc and find the Chirstmas ones

    Extras
Write a list to stock up on Washing powder/liquid, pet food, kitchen roll, foil etc to see you through into the new year
    - Am doing the big shop tomorrow hopefully, dependent on my workscheme giftcard balance clearing.
Remember to buy some dairy-free tingz for making lactose-free cakes - Sis has just given birth and is now fancying all the sweet things she was deprived of due to gestational diabetes!

    Hi all,

Used to pop in now and again a while ago but I have recently been told by my doc that I am suffering from stress and need to try and take on less so I thought that here would be a good place to start :)

Our house is looking a right mess at the moment, and I am rather overwhelmed so I will be flyladying at least until the Christmas hols start (only 3 weeks to go! :j) just to try and see me through without the daily cry and nausea :(

So....yesterday I only managed Level One.

Now listen missus, take the 'only' out of that last sentence. And add a :T That's better!!

Level 1 is a perfectly respectable achievement. Little and often is the way to go, especially if you are feeling sick, teary & stressed, you poor love. I would suggest 10-15 minute bursts, stop if you start to feel overwhelmed, deep breath, do a little dance & on to the next 10-15 mins. And remember EVERY little thing you do is a step in the right direction. Got it? Good :D:D xx

Monday - living room, hallway, stairs
Clear the floor of clutter STILL WORKING ON THE HALL :o
Vacuum the stairs and hallway and living room
    Wash the windows
Wipe the paintwork in the hallway and up the stairs

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    mop/vacuum the floors
    wipe the worksurfaces
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Sort the cupboard under the sink
Wipe the table, including the legs

    Hugs to all xx

Still need to clear the DWing. And beg hubby to do the floor. I could do it but I'm too tired. Looking forward to the next instalment. This flylady lark is making my house a home. :j

Thanks HoneyBear for that info. And thanks LW. It's certainly food for thought. I so wish there was an ensuite there so that would provide privacy both ways here. I definitely need to get my thinking cap on. I remember once watching some money programme where the entire family moved into a summerhouse\log cabin in their garden and they rented the house out for summer. It was Cornwall way I think too.

Finally got around to mopping the floor so stranded here whilst it dries. Going to do more paperwork, it is coming out of my ears and recycling bins collected tomorrow so impetus to get it sorted and flung.

  • Good lord woman you've done a good few day's work already!!

    .

Ah Bonnie - I was really quite chuffed with what I accomplished and thought I would be able to get Monday and Tuesday upto date today - until I fed the WM my diabetic blood monitor.

Had to drive 25 miles to hospital to get another monitor, being on insulin it's a condition of my driving licence that I test my blood before I drive and at two hour intervals on long drives - I couldn't be without insulin til my Thursday appointment, so I went without insulin this morning , stopped off at Mr A while I was there, then picked up DS on the way back home - then caught up with all my meds - but it has turned me into a sloth.

It has taken me all afternoon to put the shopping away and water some plants :D:D:D

DS has decided to boycott his nap AGAIN today, and is grizzling and mizzling and hanging off my ankles, so I would have more chance of running a marathon tomorrow than cracking out the hoover today :rotfl::p:rotfl:

BTW anyone who is yet to top up the car/electric cupboard for torches - my Mr A has small torches for £1 that take 2 x AA batteries - and wind up one ( no batteries required) £4 - wind up one no good for me at the mo with my carpel tunnel, but might help someone else :j - I have no affiliation with Mr A, just being a helpful soul :D

Skinty re pans – I bought a nice milk saucepan and small frying pan in J0hn L3wis, from their Value range, a while back; I have NO connection to the shop, but I've found these to be very good and thought the info might be of use to you.:o Here's a link: http://www.johnlewis.com/35560/Product.aspx
I have the 14cm milkpan and the 20cm frypan, both are in constant use.;)

Thanks for the recommendation Lamewolf, very much appreciated - my "old" set was a wedding present that matched my crockery and after 21 years I really shouldn't grumble.

As I live in the hind end of nowhere now, I may order online and get Ex to collect from a store near him and when he visits kids, I can do a hostage exchange - cold hard cash for shiny new pans ;););) at least I have a half empty drawer to put them in now!

Right I will force my errant DS done for a nap/the night (either or, at this stage I am not fussy!) before I start grizzling and mizzling. I may fly by night at stupid o'clock, but I aim to be back at a sensible hour tomorrow, lurking with a cuppa :)
The cold never bothered me anyway

Well been to work and DD's concert.I did DD's uniform earlier and crossed it off the list, then remembered I needed mine!!!! I have done that now so just waiting for the iron to cool down and will put that away.
I started on the tree earlier and realised I wanted more dec',s so on the way back from concert, I popped to Argos and got some more (in the sale!!). The tree is looking a bit better but I'm still not happy....(I never am about the tree though.....never looks like those in the magazines!!.......(but neither does the house!!!))

In work all day tomorrow, then change(need clothes for that too!!!), pick up Mu and go to the evening concert. I'll check tomorrows list and get it up ready for when I get back(or if I have time in the morning........)

Hope all are well and hugs to those in need xx
