Breakdown cover renewal question
Hi everyone,
I have previously used Tesco breakdown (when they were reselling Greenflag) and then Autoaid. I have had no problem with either, as themselves, but the company that came out to a breakdown my wife had didn't leave her a receipt or send one on to us. She can't remember the name of the company that came out - and has paid them cash.
Anyway - it wasn't a huge bill (roughly £40 I think) but its enough to make me think Autoaid is a great plan when the companies that turn up stick to their end of the deal (providing a receipt) but if they don't there isn't much you can do about it!
So we are now looking at other breakdown companies - but am now getting stuck on the 10 year rule. Our Yaris is a 52 plate, I believe registered in November, so is just 10 years old. She is mechanically sound, and I keep on top of maintenance etc. She isn't a rust bucket! However it looks like many places would just reject on age alone.
Does anyone have any experience of companies that don't or at least will consider older cars?
Thanks
Kit

My son was in the same situation, he just phoned Autoaid to ask for the name of the company they sent out (so he could get a receipt ) and they said it was OK they would deal with it.0
