Well it turns out it was one of her friends who hacked for a joke >:( ::) It was the same friend who's uncle rescued her account, he showed her how to do it so she could rescue hers if it happened again, thing is she thought it would be a good idea to hack her friend's accounts. She didn't know daughter's password so she could do the same again if she felt like it. I said if she does it again then I'll pass her name to MSN, dunno if they'd do anything about it though :-/

I would imagine they would just send a warning but they do take hacking seriously especially with all the problems they have had.
    Nice to save.

One thing which nobody has pointed out is that you should have a good security question. It's common sense that having a question like 'What's my favorite football team' is going to be easy to hack (chances are, it's in the premiership - how many possibilities are there?). Have a really secure question that nobody is going to know but you (the serial number of your toaster?).

Apart from where you actually give out your password, many hackers work off this security question. Make yours secure!

Just be careful. There is a scam along the lines of:

Send an email from your own hotmail account to: someaddress@hotmail.com (usually something that sounds offical)
and include on the first line the email address you want to hack and on another line your password.
Then you will receive an email with their password.

    DON'T DO IT.

All you are doing is giving the person who set up the account 'someaddress@hotmail.com' your email address and password.
Why do companies offer you "free gifts?"
Since when has a gift NOT been free?
