Should I get NCB or not?

Hi, I have a problem with Green Insurance Company. Last December I moved my insurance to them with 1 year NCB. In May this year I changed a car and I've got 2 options: pay £120 a month untill December an then £72 or do a new 12 months policy and pay £79 a month. Of course I accept the second option as it was the cheapest. Now is December and I've had to change car again, my premiums gone up to £144 a month! I thought even if I will be need to £60 cancellation fee it will be cheaper for me to sign up for a new 12 month policy with 2 years NCBn (£64/pm). They said no! They told me I will be have 2 years NCB in May next year rather than now, because they count whole years not the two 6 month periods. Can I do anything or does they right with this?

Hi, only full years count to your NCB unless you take out ' accelerator policies ' from the likes of Admiral.0

Your policy only notchess up another years NCB when its run its course, only whole years count, sorry but you cant claim the two six month policies as an extra years NCB.0
