in Credit cards
Hi, I've got a credit card that's £500 in credit and tried unsuccusefully to get this refunded to my bank account
I was trying to find a way of "spending" on the card that would mean I'm just paying myself
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Why is it in credit?
No reason that htye should not really transfer back to the normal account that pays the bill.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Why? can the card issuer not just refund the credit balance back to you by cheque or what ever means necessary.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

There is a way of doing what you say, but it'll cost you about 3.5%.
Far easy to just ask the card issuer for a refund, or just spend it.0 -
hi, i'ld try again with getting a refund. It is possible as my ex bosses wife (now ex) managed to get one after she forgot to cancel her monthly fixed DD and ended up with over £2k in credit. (The DD had been running years!)0

I asked them to refund it and it showed up on my card statement on the 5th of November. It never appeared in my bank account and as of the 30th is back on my card
If it wasn't so much then I might spend it but it's money I'd rather have in my ISA than doing nothing sitting on my credit card.
Is there anyway I can spend on the card and get refunded to my bank account0 -
Two options:
1) Just buy everything for the next month or so on the card, all your shopping, petrol etc, and put the cash you would have used away in your ISA
2) ask the card issuer. I had a refund due to faulty goods long after I had settled the purchase, and they allowed me to transfer to my bank without the cash withdrawal fee because of the circumstances.0
