Getting DSRs removed?

Hi.
I recently sold a presale item on ebay which has yet to be posted to the buyer. However they have already left positive feedback, presumably because they were prompted to by ebay. The problem is that they don't appear to understand how it works because they have commented that they will leave positive feedback once the item arrives!
The main problem for me is that they have left me 3 star DRSs in all categories including "item as described" although they don't have the item to comment on. I think they've just left "average" ratings because the sale isn't complete without realising the implications of them for sellers. I usually get 5 stars for all so this is bringing my averages down.
As the rating is positive I can't ask for a revision but does anyone have any knowledge/experience of ebay agreeing to remove DRS when it's obvious the buyer can't rate them correctly before receiving the item?
Thanks

The only way you can get DSRs removed is to have the whole lot, feedback as well taken away.
However it is unlikely ebay will co operate here as they are not terribly keen on people selling things they do not have in hand.
Incidentally, how long has it been since they paid as of course you lose seller protection if you don't ship within 7 days of receiving payment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have been successful in the past getting low stars removed, but I currently have nine 3 stars from the same buyer and eBay are refusing to remove them as they say they are neutral and won't damage my account
You could try phoning eBay customer support but don't think it will get you anywhereYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I asked ( yes it wasn't a scientific survey) 4 family / frends who are newish to Ebay about feedback....
All said they thought 3 stars was the right thing to do unless they had received special service !
I have now explained my understanding of the star system and hopefully will now adjust their behaviour accordantly !
does this have any baring on current themes on forums such as this ?

Thanks for your replies. It doesn't sound like I'm likely to get any joy with customer services so I'll just have to put up with the 3 stars.0

Hi, I had a similar problem where a buyer left me pos feedback but wrote "did not receive item but good communication" and also left low stars. The buyer then messaged me to apologise and said she had left me the wrong feedback. I sent the message to ebay and requested they remove the written feedback and look at the stars but I never received a reply and the f/b is still there. I think if the f/b is positive then ebay won't do anything
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0
