New Graphics card?

I've been advised by the good people on here to replace an old graphics card with an AMD HD7770 or HD6850, in my son's PC, as he is into gaming. Problem is, there are at least half-a-dozen versions of these, from different makers (Asus, Sapphire etc) ranging from £85 up to about £140. So which one do I choose - are they really that different??
