  • yup, that is exactly how I make my chinese pancakes, POoky. It does work.
  • The only time I tried to make them they were a disaster - so I've gone back to buying them frozen from the Asian supermarket. They are frozen in packs of 6 and I get a pack of over a 100 for about £3.

  • I'm sure I've seen these somewhere but can't remember where. Would they be in the ordinary chinese section with the jars of stir fry sauce, noodles etc. maybe?

  • they would be in the frozen section, not sure if iceland sell them?
but you will always get them in speciality shops.Chinese pancakes are available from most large supermarkets, but if you can't find them use mini flour tortillas instead, as they're about the same size and taste almost identical.

I have purchased them in ASDA and Sainsbury's. They are in a little cardboard pack next to the ready to roast Chinese duck in the fresh meat section. Look for a boxed duck in a silver sleeve and you should see the pancakes close by.

  • I shop in sainsburies but havn't found them online - the only place i did find them was in Morrisons and they were really expensive, £1.99 for 8 - maybe ask your local chinese takeaway if they can sell them to you?

In Morrisons they are in the same section with the fresh ready meals. Pizza, takeaway boxes etc. In my Morrisons they are in the first aisle that has the fresh fruit and veg in the fridges on the outside wall.
