Norton Internet Security 2012

I keep getting an error message 3048-3 popping up advising me to download a fix,i have done this twice yet it popped up again.I have run full scans and nothing shows,i also run Norton power eraser and again nothing,am i infected or what is the problem?.

Try booting in safe mode disable all net connections then uninstall and reinstall Norton0
