Hi,
My electricity bills seem to be really high. I reckon the meter is wrong, I've tried to get Scottish electric to check/Change it.
What's the best options for me, and how much could they charge me to change it. My electric costs are over £200 a month according to them. We live in a bungalow with 5 children.
Many thanks
Richard

Take weekly meter reading first to see what your kWh usage is. Are you all electric? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Have you been with this supplier at this property for a while if you have there will be a history of previous usage has it went up considerably? ask!
If the usage has increased what has changed.
Check all your electric usage example if an electric immersion heater was to be on all the time this would increase costs considerably.
Investigate all possible high usage items and make sure they are off when not in use.
Demand that they check the meter if there is still doubt on its accuracy.0
