Sadly I have had to do my first chargeback for an item I won but have never recieved after three weeks. I emailed the seller several times. Finally they replyed last saturday and said it was being sent that day .Funnily enough it wasnt. I asked for a refund, they said they would not , then said they would .I told them if I never recieved a refund would have to do a paypal chargeback, again they lied said they would and never. Finally reluctantly , 15 emails later, i did my chargeback. They have now responded to ebay and i got this in -

Obviously they have never sent it. I now have to wait 5 days until payapl continues with the next part, I am on part 3 - buyer reviews sellers ( lame) response. Does that now mean I will automatically get my refund after the 5 days ? Or is their more emailling to come ? Thanks.

You should automatically get your refund unless the seller can prove delivery.
However, if they have withdrawn their funds from the account paypal will place a hold on it until further funds are available, so check out if your seller is still selling or not. If they are still selling then it means that funds will still be going through their account from which you can be repaid.

Thanks for replying Soolin. They are still selling but Im wondering if they have opened up another payapl account. They only sell things on a buy it now - immediate payment policy. Personally I think they are as crooked as they come, so I will wait and see, as I gave them enough warnings its all over £8.00 as well !0

Good luck Cat72 and le tus know how you get on.
BTW even if they are using the same selling id with a different paypal account paypal could link the accounts via the email address and get your money back.

I did a chargeback for £7 but paypal said they could only recover 34p. The sellers are no longer registered users but I guess they can open a new account with a new id and email address.0

Standby for another dissappointed paypal user !!
Paypal only recovered £0.66p from a debt of £38 in my case.
Seller just opened another paypal account as easy as that !

Soo
Im my case, I found out what his/her next account ebay name was and even his/her new e-mail address.
Paypal could only put a stop on the account name involved in the transaction and were not interested in pursuing it further.
