£250 inc VAT, Windows 8. Or this and this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/259862 for £219.98 (5 working days delivery is free).
At that price point I'd describe them as 'adequate' rather than 'good'.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Cheaper to buy the second PC with Windows 8 instead of Windows 7. Windows 8 currently costs £25. A double install will take care of the Upgrade aspect, as would installing Windows 7 without a Product key and then installing Windows 8. So, £175 instead of £220.0 -

Check out http://www.wizmarkcomputers.co.uk/ - they list up to date prices for Dell PC's and I use it to get an idea of current offers. If you buy using Quidco you'll also likely get some extra cashback.
The 660 desktop and Vostro 260 have some models from about £230 up....some have Win7, some Win8
Note that many shown have an discount code, so the Dell Vostro 260 shows as £249 but with a discount code given it's actually £224 delivered inc Vat etc.

I'm using a Dell 755 SFF model, which can be had for under £100 (without monitor).0
