Bought a Nexus tablet for a suspiciously cheap price .... bit little worried now

Early this morning (and a bit hungover), I saw a "new" Nexus going for a buy-it-now price of £175 with a "make an offer" option. I made an offer of £150 on the off-chance but after I sent it I read the blurb again and saw that although described as new, it said it had been taken out of the box and used once.
Because of that, I retracted the original offer and and made a revised offer of £125, which I didn't really expect to get accepted but I thought it was worth a go. However, I got an acceptance email about an hour later and I paid for it through Paypal.
I've now woken up (and sobered up) a little more, and I've noticed a couple of things that ring alarm bells. For some reason, I thought the model was the 16GB which is going for around £175 in the shops. However, the description states it's the 32GB which is going for over £200 retail so it seems a little strange that someone would accept such a low-ball offer when the auction still had 4 days to run. And, more worryingly, it's seller with no feedback, although the ebay ID was registered in June 2009.
I know I'm protected with Paypal, but what if I get an empty box, or some crap instead. It's his word against mine?

intresting......please keep us informed to how it turns out...:beer:They could have won it in a raffle, or maybe an unwanted gift,0

If you get an empty box then you open a snad case, send it back special delivery, and get a refund.0

Could happen in any purchase. You are buying an item with no guarantee. You've paid enough.0

hey you may get yourself a very good bargain-you never know what someones situation is, they may be really hard up right now and need the cash, so waiting 4 days could be too long for them.
Seeing as they have only just started selling i would says it's a pretty good bet that they could be desperate for some dosh-have a look at what else they are selling? Most scammers sell a lot of high end electrical items all of a sudden. If he's just got a few bits or just the one item i wouldn't worry too much about it. Your still covered no matter what feedback they have.0 -
Out of interest, was the photo of the actual item, or just a stock photo?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You're always protected with PayPal so don't you worry. he may not have done his homework. Yes, I've been following these for the last month, they very rarely sell for less than £150. You have a link for your listing?Living off £450 per month is easy...! If you aren't single! :j0
