Bed gas strut wont work.

I just bought this bed which has gas stut to lift the bed. As I completed assembling the bed the gas strut wont go down. I am afraid to put too much pressure as it would break the supporting frame.

Is there a way to fix or ease the gas strut? It is a new bed

the normal failure mode on those is gas leaking rather than seizing

I assume you have the mattress on it when you are trying to close it?

If you have then contact the retailer for a new one

It could be that the strut may be installed the wrong way round. If it isn't then the strut is faulty.

  • I was pushing it the wrong way and without the mattress. It works with Mattress on it.

Somehow I think you might have been better keeping that little snippet to yourself. :D:D
