If I go through my car insurance to repair my chipped windscreen (its only a repair) my insurer says (aviva) will not affect my no claims.

But if I change my insurer next year although I keep my no claims will different car insurers will up the premium just for a chip repair? Will they ask if I have had any windscreen repairs?

They say it doesn't affect your premium, but how will you ever know? They're all a bunch of untrustworthy robbing barstewards.

I suspect they might - it does count for Direct Line, if I recall correctly.

if your insurer says it won't affect your NCB then it won't

It does count as a claim though which will need to be disclosed to insurers in the future

Declare it for the next 5 years just in case.

Be silly to risk them cancelling your insurance for failure to disclose information for a small amount.

If they want more money because if that claim go elsewhere.
