Not impressed with Strawberrynet

I ordered some facial cream from strawberrynet (http://uk.strawberrynet.com/main.aspx?region=UK). I selected from their UK site & placed my order which was shown in £.
The next day I received a cancellation email from them as they no longer stock the product.
The next day my credit card was charged £20.18 but they charged me in $ & my cc converted the rate.
1 week later I emailed them to ask about my refund & they said it will take up to 10 days.
The next week the refund finally shows up but again I was refunded in $ which my cc company gave back to me as £18.
I emailed strawberry to ask for a full refund because I ordered from their UK site & the prices were advertised in £ but got no response.
Why should I be out of pocket because they charged me for a product which they didn't have in stock then they chose to charge me in $ but show their prices in £?

Phone your credit card company.
Make a complaint, you may have to do this in writting as well.
Credit card company will refund you with absolutely no trouble as its not worth there time squabbling over a few £.0 -
Thanks but it should be strawberry that pays, not my credit card company0

You may be flogging a dead horse then.0

Dont cc chargebacks usually have to be over £100?0

Roses, Call your credit card company and ask for a chargeback. It can be for any amount and i know you can claim for amounts under £ 100 without any problems. Good Luck0

This is not what martin says under his notes in the shopping section-consumer part though.0

Well they have sent me an email now offering me $10 off my next purchase.
There's nothing I really want but I suppose I can buy a gift for my sister as it is her birthday next month.
Claiming off my credit card doesn't seem to be worthiwhile. It is unlikely that Nationwide will chase strawberrynet for £2 and as usualy it is the consumer who pays for credit card chargebacks for small amounts!0 -
Is the cream you want available from Island cosmetics in Jersey? I've never had any trouble with them.
It won't solve your current problem, I know, but it's somewhere reputable to try.0 -
I bought the cream from Fragrance Direct where it was MUCH cheaper0
