Real Christmas Tree

There's a farm which sells real trees between Ballymena and Larne (on the main A36 road), at Glenwherry, between Glenwherry Presbyterian Church and Country Cars. The trees are Lodgepole Pine - lovely and bushy with very little needle drop. I've had them for the past few years and they're great.
Not sure about this year's prices, but last year was £10 up to 6ft, £15 up to 7ft and so on.0 -

Got ours from Ikea and would recommend it. As Golden says, you get a £20 voucher but you also get £5 off tree decorations so it is technically free!
What to do is lift a leaflet in store, gather up your tree decorations (I just lifted a fiver's worth), take it to the till and pay for your tree there. Then go out to the carpark, pick your tree and you get your £20 voucher there (which is valid for use in January).
I'm telling you this as they don't really tell you what to do, it isn't clear so I ended up going backwards and forwards between the store and carpark before getting sorted out!
We got our tree yesterday and I am really pleased with it.
Couldn't find a £5 off decorations leaflet in store but asked the guy who was greeting people at the entrance when we were heading back out to get our tree and he produced one from a bundle hidden at the back of a table.
He said it would be honoured on a return visit between now and Christmas even though the leaflet says it is valid when you're purchasing a tree.
Not that bothered but if anyone wants a leaflet ask on your way in.0 -

We picked up a tree at ikea this weekend.
As nice a tree as we have had and paid more in the past.
In fact never had a tree for £5.00 before.
Already know what the voucher will be spent on.
Well done Ikea. Same again next year please.:T:T:T0 -
Got a tree from Ikea on Wednesday this week, they still had loads left (at Ashton-Under-Lyne store)
Edit: Just realised this is a N.Ireland board - but might be useful to others who stumble on it through the search facility0 -
Thanks again for this, picked one up today - same prices this year and really nice trees (and so much cheaper than most of the other places I've seen)

Whilst, on the face of it, this is fab... but remember that Ikea will be buying in 10s of thousands of trees for next to nothing. They can afford to make almost nothing on the trees because they are big and have other things... but the local guys who sell trees cannot. It is all well and good to get a good deal but there is also a negative impact on local business.Always overestimating...0
