I realise this place isn't everyone's cup of tea, but we like it, cheap and cheerful ...

Just booked 2 separate consecutive weeks here for the summer holidays (if you try to book 14 nights, you don't get the offer). Combined with a 5% discount code that we were emailed as regulars, it reduced the price of a week starting 20 July to £522 for a 2 bedroom bronze villa for up to 6.
Offer on until all the special offer places used up (who knows when?)

So in your opinion £522 for a three night stay is cheap and cheerful ? Also you paid £1044 for a 2 week break on a not every ones cup of tea cheap and cheerful site at Woolacombe ' hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

So you only post to insult me? Why do I say cheap and cheerful? Because of what you get for your money. Its school holidays. School holidays are expensive. We struggle every year to find something around that price band in a nice location such as Woolacombe, that has facilities like indoor/outdoor pools, and is spacious enough to suit our family, which includes 2 autistic people (which isn't relevant to the argument, but makes it harder to find stuff that suits). It generally costs a lot more to stay at Woolacombe unless you're prepared to cram into a 1 bedroomed apartment.
I see you're a holiday home owner, perhaps you can offer a better deal, but with that sort of attitude, I'd not bother, thank you very much.0 -
A nice 2 bedroom lodge on a stunning North Wales award winning country park sleeps 6 with a outdoor pool for £450 a week (£850 -2 weeks ) in the summer holidays . No gimicks or stupid inflations to give big discounts back to you. I do not consider mine cheap but i consider it value for money. Impossible to say if it will suit your 2 autisic family members but it suits mine just fine . Woolacombe is a good place to holiday esp for familys . Have a good time .. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

After reading the post’s I decided to have a look at other larger mainstream holiday parks in the area (Haven, Parkdean ect) and compared them to what Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks could offer for our family as we wanted to do a beach holiday with the kids next year.
We have decided on Golden Coast as they were almost £80 cheaper than the rest and we only had to pay a £40 deposit too.
I was worried that there might not be much for the kids to do other than just a outdoor pool but had a look at their website and read some of the feedback on their facebook page most of which was really good, checked some of the photo’s that others have put up and they have so much to do like a surf simulator, climbing walls, adventure golf and of course the wonderful Woolacombe beach which looks stunning and we are really excited about our stay.
Greenface i think Sutty1966 was referring to a week stay for that price and not a 3 night stay as you suggested, we got a week at golden coast in a bronze apartment during summer school holidays for £499 which is very reasonable.
Does anyone have any suggestions on days out and attractions in the area?0 -
