Deliveries Smelling of smoke

Most of items sent via Yodel seem to be delivered in my area buy a girl in a car used to be in a Yodel van , trouble is all the items stink of smoke, just had a parcel delivered now and absolutely reeks of smoke

Anyone else get this problem ??

If the sellers are using the plastic mailing bags, the smell can transfer from them to the contents (black binliners smell the same)

If it's an item of clothing that you've bought, try airing them on a washing line or indoor airer for a while, that normally cures it.

Obviously, if she's smoking in her car, theres not much other than complaining you can do... (smoking in a works vehicle is against the law now, even if the vehicle is your own car...)

It was clothes today in a mailer bag clothes inside were ok luckily but i keep the bags in case of return , last week was a coffee machine and the box stunk too, i presume they sort out the parcels at home where they may be in a smoky atmosphere for several hours so could be from that as well as the car

It's the mailing bags themselves that smell smokey, there are loads of threads about it already.

The grey ones seem to be worst but some other colours smell just as bad. As for the contents smelling that is down to the material the item is made from, how long it has been in the mailing bag and whether they are wrapped in a protective layer.

The coffee machine box also smelt too.

I think a complaint is in order; she shouldn't really be infecting other people's items like this, even if the smell is relatively easy to get rid of.

nope its not the bags 100% sure , deliveries from Very to collect+ store don't smell, Littlewoods delivery to house by this delivery woman stink of smoke they are from same seller and same bags , why would a cardboard box's reek of smoke from the lady delivery driver, its smoking that's the problem.
