Car Stereo Help

I have an after market CD player which fitted fine into my old Seat Cordoba but as it conked out I have no got a Ford Escort. Unfortunately the wiring in the stereo is a little damaged and I wondered if you could help me or tell me a good site to advice.
I'm picking up a wiring harness that connects a ford connectors to an iso connection but some of the wires have come away from one of the ford connectors. I've tried pulling the bits that remain but they seem stuck in.

What I need to know is how to get them out and then (after I've cut the wires to same length) put them back in.

Any help greatly appreciated.
