TomTom Lifetime Maps Promotion

Purchased TomTom Via 130 on 23.11.2012 from Amazon -Black Friday Deals - to take advantage of Lifetime Maps Updates. Registered, got claim number now I've received an email rejecting my claim as I have not purchased from a participating dealer!
Amazon have confirmed that they are a participating dealer and are advertising the Sat Navs with this deal. Waiting to hear what TomTom say via Amazon as they are proving difficult to contact. Anyone else with this problem?

This is worth noting if you are intending to buy to get promotion - also - device has to be registed by Christmas Eve so not good as a present!

If TomTom won't honour the offer then send the satnav back to Amazon for a refund - as the item description (which promised the maps) was incorrect.

What was the outcome of this? I'm interested in purchasing one from Amazon but don't want to get rejected

Halfords are doing them for the same price as amazon at the moment if you buy online or reserve and collect (they were more expensive on the display in store when I went)...I had no problem getting the lifetime maps activation code with the halfords receipt and I'm really pleased with the satnav.

The lifetime maps offer has been extended until the end of March now
