Thanks Muttley.
You have advised that previously, there are no guarantees regards to another assessment prior to the end of the prognosis period.
However it would be of interest to establish what is the ratio of those experiencing reassessment prior to prognosis period end.0 -
If DWP accept 18 months (and you should be informed) the process will usually start again about two months prior to that date, ie another questionnaire.0

I was transfered from IB to ESA last November. Passed with no medical examination needed and was placed straight into the ESA WRAG with an 18 month prognosis. I've received another ESA50 to fill in this week, pretty much exactly 12 months after I first transfered onto ESA. So it would seem the DWP can order another assessment whenever they like.

I think this will be due to the fact you can only claim contributory ESA for 12 months, then have to either go on to income related or just receive NI credit towards your pension.
The reason you've received another ESA50 earlier than you expected is supposedly so it's a seamless process, no break in benefit entitlement.0 -

Sorry, I should have mentioned it in my first post, I'm already on income related.Paul.0 -
In that case it'll be so its a seamless process and no break in benefit payments, as long as the criteria for ESA is still met obviously!0
