Do I Need Life Insurance???

I own my own house, have a mortgage and I know that I need some protection.
Do I really need the life assurance and critical illness cover that my bank sold me seeings as I single????
Does anyone have any suggestions on which one I should have? I reckon that I am paying over the odds :eek: for what Ive got and therefore I am willing to move providers. I looked through Martins articles and whilst they are v informative, they are mainly aimed at the type of cover that married/ partners would need.
Does anyone have any advise on what type of cover I need for us singletons??

Advising on insurance is a regulated activity so you arent going to get any advice here. Just suggestions, opinions and discussion.
If nobody is financially worse off in the event of your death then life cover is not normally required. Critical illness can be desirable but below permanent health insurance in the pecking order.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
