LEGOstarwars.com ADVENT CALENDAR codes HELP

Ok, so DS#2 has just opened his first lego star wars advent door and there's a code on the door as well as a cool aeroplane thing.

According to the box I 'just' have to go to LEGOstarwars.com and input the code to 'unlock a new surprise every day'.
I've gone there and there seems to be a game in progress! and something where you build a clone.
There's a mention of 'connect with FB' on there. DS#2 is 8 years old and doesn't have a FaceBook account (obv), I don't have a FB a/c either.
I can't see anywhere you input the code or anything on the internets to tell me what to do with this code.

Please help as I have a very frustrated 8 year old who would like to use the code for something.

I can't find where to enter the code either and judging by the Facebook page, lots of other people can't either.

HWTHMBO has said he'll have a proper look in a bit... gotta love living with a computer person.
just a thought but I wonder if you are supposed to make the clone and play the game and put the codes in when you are asked during game play and it'll unlock stuff as you go along???

The advent calendar should be an option.
If you're directed to the mobile site, you'll want products > exclusives.

Actually, scratch that about the mobile site. It's just an ad. And the site requires flash, so it's not going to work on an iOS device anyway. Just go to starwars.lego.com on an actual computer.

I just tried it and it showed him how to put the little bits of lego together and a brief animation on how it moves. so we are a bit nearer to deciphering what the codes do.

I got the impression from the box that the legostarwars.com wesbite which goes to here
http://www.lucasarts.com/games/legostarwarsiii/index.jsp
and is completely different to the site you kindly found for me, that the codes actually unlocked things in the game.

My son was having a similar problem as we tried to use the codes. Thanks for finding a solution and making the rest of advent a little less complicated!!!
