Dla tribunal

Appealed Dla award , had home visit , now had forms for tribunal, have low rate care and asked for mobility. Cant bring myself to travel to tribunal so will go for written tribunal,. Does anyone think this is a good idea or not. ? EMP has said i can walk 100 yards , i dont know how he knows , and GP not a lot of help . Waiting for double knee replacement , lumbar and cervical spondylosis , arthritis of feet , hip and shoulders, awaiting appointement with neurologist for balance problem, 60 years old and never had day on sick until last year. IB assesment lasts until 2011. Knackered but cant face journey to tribunal. Has anyone had experience of written tribunal .

    If you possibly can, then you should attend.

    Personal attendances have an approx. 70% success rate, whilst "paper tribunals" have only about a 30% chance of success.

    You can take somebody with you for support and help, and the CAB are always willing to help with tribunals (or refer you to Welfare Rights worker).
