  • Just reply repeating the frame size and the wheel size. And add "hope this helps" at the end :D

all you need to know give the link to the buyer

  • Just say "yes"
what a 42 carat plonker you really are Rodders
  • The link Malamute provided looks useful. If the bike is secondhand, it might help to mention the size of its previous owner, if known.

    I like this suggestion. :D

And of course, if you do it before the auction closes, you have the bike to make your getaway on.

    Hiya

Well if their 12 year old is anything like my 13 year old probably not. My youngest son, who is as you can gather 13 (just) and is 6ft tall and towers over most of his friends by loads and it's been a long time since I have bought him anything suitable for his "age" when it comes to measurements.

He has been using an adults bike since he was about 10 as all others were too small for him - why oh why though do they not make bigger bikes with less than 15 gears? Mini moan there! He, although on an adult bike really didn't need and still doesn't need that many gears. Come to think of it neither do I!

Might be worth saying something like that i.e. not all 12 year olds are the same height or even weight and even ask if their son will need stabilisers to ride it - well you never know and this might give them food for thought.

The link given above is also very good.

 Crumbs, and I thought my 13-year-old was big! He's about 10 inches taller and a few stones heavier than I was at the same age, started wearing "gents" clothes before he left primary school and has been giving me hand-me-down clothes he's outgrown since he was 9.
