Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections. Look for an icon for a wireless connection0

Right click My Computer on our Desktop, Click Properties, Click the Hardware Tab and then go to Device Manager. Which Network Adapters are listed ? And do any have yellow exclamation marks next to them ?0

Yes, that's all you need - it replaces your Speedtouch modem and gives you wireless access and one Ethernet port.0

thanks,am i right in thinking that apart from the initial set up to the router using ethernet connection i wouldnt need it again as id be totally wireless on laptop(thats the only pc in house)??is the ethernet port used for anything else or am i being thick....dont answer that lol0 -
Yes, you are right. Connect the laptop to the router using an ethernet cable to setup and configure the router. Once setup, disconnect the cable, and you should be surfing wirelessly.
The only other times that you should need to use the ethernet port on the router is to connect a second PC (that doesn't have wireless capability), or to reconfigure the router.0 -

It should come with a setup manual, and there's also an online guide at http://www.usr.com/support/9111/9111-ug/config-1.htm - simply follow the Setup Wizard to enable security.
