two types of sghowerhead off a bath/mixer?

Hello,
I am planning to put in a new bath with a showerscreen.
I want the bath mixer to also provide a shower.

Is is possible for the bath mixer to service two types of shower head?
The large "drench" type shower head and the standard one?

If so could you point me in the right direction?

I was thinking of getting a kaledwei puro for the bath and a showerscreen from lakes...

I've been advised that Bristan and Grohe are good makes for the mixers, but have not been able to ascertain if they can do what I would like to.. i.e. two forms of shower

Any advice would be appreciated.

Steve

Do you mean something like this:

Some of the Georgian style taps with the telephone type shower-heads have brackets so the shower-head can be sat on the tap or held on the wall as a shower.

You can't just pick a shower that might/possibly/won't perform with your existing setup and expect it to. How is your house equipped for supply and/or storage of hot and cold water? What boiler do you have?

I think you mean something like this Sagittarius Evolution:

but they are well over 300 notes!!

Edit: No actually thats wrong - what you are thinking of is one of these:

but that comes from the Far Flung. Personally I'd go for the former and drop the BSM idea.

You really need a power shower pump or a good mains pressure and flow and a Boilermate-type system (which pressurises your hot water to approx the same as your mains water pressure) to run a drench shower head.

We have a Boilermate and a two-head shower like the examples above. Ours is a 'Victorian/Edwardian' style and came from B&Q a couple of years ago. It has a 10"-12" drench head and a separate two-pattern handset.

The drench heads use a LOT of water so are not 'moneysaving' in terms of hot water or metered water. Ours can fill the bath as fast as the taps can!

Thats why I asked what his current supply setup is. Thanks for the B&Q lead. Didn't know they did 'em. Just to be picky though a thermal store doesn't actually pressurise the hot water. It heats cold water which is already at mains pressure to make it hot.

    Thank you for you comments...

This is a layman's description, so apologies fior inaccuracies :

Currently we have a CEDA showerbath ( with jets & jacuzzi and drench shower and "normal" shower ).

BUT the thermostat went and I cannot get a replacement.

So we have decided to get a new bath and use the bath mixer to provide a shower... (much simpler)

The current setup involves a hot water tank in the loft connected to a combi with a pump servicing the tank.

The idea was that if the boiler went bang, the tank ( which has some sort of "radiator" in it so warming water ) would be a stand-by because it would also asct as an immersion heater.
