renew fixed price with eon
I'm currently on a fixed price dual fuel with eon due to run out July 2013. This was originally for 2 years and I'm happy with that. Given that e-on are probably going to increase prices in the new year should I take out a new 2-year fixed price with them now? Their quote shows it costing an additional £105 per year over the current plan (current cost just over £1200)?
Can't work out if this is a good deal or not, obviously depends on what their price rise is but don't want to leave it until the new year and miss out.
Thanks for any opinions

If you are currently on a fixed deal until July, then you won't be affected by any price rises Eon announce for customers currently on their variable rate.
Unless this new deal is less than your current deal (very unlikley as it was arranged almost 18 months ago), I would wait until July.
If you want to see just how much this latest deal will cost/save compared to the rest of the market, pop your figures into a comparison site and find out

Of course, the current deals may not be around come July, with with all the other major suppliers having raised their prices recently, I doubt there will be much of an increase again by then.0
