New card with same card company where I am 2nd card holder

Hi. If I am a second card holder on my wife's credit card account (Barclaycard) can I apply for a credit card with the same company?

    Yes you can, it's only if you're the primary card holder that they don't like it.

    When it asks if you already have a barclaycard say no, as technically you dont.

    You won't be able to tranfser balances between the 2 though.

    That depends on the banks etc, Barclays are happy for you to have their new cashback card in addition to another, AmEx are happy for you to hold several of their cards
