Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I still can't quite get my head around the fact that the mortgage in June 2006 was for £155,000:eek:! Was due to be paid if full May 2025 and it will be gone end of august possibly before! For 5 of those years we only had one salary! Quite amazing challange and shows what happenes when you take care of the pennies!! Really feels very odd that we will have this extra money each month, just not sure I want to spend it!!0

I know what you mean about not wanting to spend it as thrift becomes a way of life. But you can use your MSe skills to make it go a good long way and have a lovely time. Good luck for the last few months.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!

Well made an overpayment today and the realised that I could use most of my savings and just pay it off!! Nearly did it but stopped just in case we need to dip into our savings if an emergency happens! But it will be paid in full probably end on June at the latest!! 12 years early and 2 years earlier than we originally planned!!:j:j0
