I try to log on to my online policy with swiftcover and I am met with
"Please take a moment to update your details
New legislation means all insurers will no longer be able to consider a person’s gender when preparing their car insurance.
Because of this new law, we’re finding out a little more about our customers now so that we can tailor their car insurance when it’s time to renew."
It wont let me do anything unless I basically answer all the questions I already gave the answers to 6 months or more ago when I took out the insurance.
They already know my gender ive not had a sex change since I took out the policy so why do they need to ask again?
I have heard they were bought by Axa perhaps they wont let them have the customer details!

Why not just answer the questions?
Otherwise it seems you cannot use their online system and will need to phone or write in.0 -

If AXA bought them then they would have details.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Well there is the time element considering I have answered them all plus if they are no longer allowed to consider gender why are they asking me what it is? Plus I entered a contract with them which had a term that it was an online policy. If I now cannot manager it online they have broken the contract0 -

I think you will find that the law of the land takes precedence over any contract. All contracts have to be lawful.0
