Parking at work

I work at a city care center and have been informed by email as of december 1 i will have to pay £39 per month to park at my place of work i will not be guaranteed a parking space close to where i work most evenings i finish at 22.00pm what about my safety ? Is there anyway i claim anything back it total to over £400 a year which i cannt afford? What can i do ?

- Go to your Union.
- Put in a formal complaint that your employer is arbitrarily changing the terms of your contract of employment, without your agreement.
- Talk to other staff members and act calmly but assertively as a joint force.
- Talk to the local paper as a joint force, get this publicised out in the open.
- If you do end up paying for parking you MAY be able to claim a proportion back from the taxman. Ask your HR Dept for the phone number of your tax office to ask, if you do end up having a deduction.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
