Been invited by BG to pre-register for their Online Variable Feb14 tariff pending the expiration of my current Websaver 13 tariff at the end of December.

Was wondering whether this would be a good move? (gas only). I notice the new tariff uses a daily standing charge and single unit rate, unlike the old tariff, making direct comparison a bit awkward.

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

The 2013 tarif is 3% dearer than the standard tariff if this makes it any easier to work out. Put your consumption into a comparison site and check it against the other suppliers too. This will do the hard work for you. Only you can decide if fixing your price is a good deal.

I would also suggest consulting a comparison site and finding the best deal for you from the whole of market ;)

(You may want to then compare that best deal to the BG Online Variable Feb14 tariff if it's not yet included in the comparison sites)
  • Joyful, Wywth - thank you for your suggestions. I'll do that.
