Do You Have a Showerbath?

I'm thinking about re-doing our bathroom and am keen on getting a showerbath installed. The only thing that puts me off though is that when we have previously had showers over baths, water has leaked under the glass screen and onto the floor and the rubber seals get so manky looking after a while.

Do you have this problem with your showerbath?

and

Are there any showerbath/screen combinations that work without the need for a rubber seal.

Thanks

We had one fitted a couple of years ago, the edge of the bath has a lip on that prevents water from running over the bath and down onto the floor.

When in use the bottom seal of the folding screen is on the inside of the lip, we use a good cleaner such as Cillit Bang and I also use an old toothbrush on the seals at least once a week and that does seem to keep them reasonably clean and non-manky looking.

My parents have one and its great. They got an additional screen that encloses the whole shower end, not just a bath screen. Its from Homebase, but its made by Jacuzzi UK

The bathroom suite is Twyford and the model was the Wave range, don't know if they still do that range now.

We had the bathroom completely re-done, all the tiles off and replaced, new Mira shower, shower screen and heated towel rail, floor tiled, we asked our Plumber (who we have known for years) which make he would recommended, we wanted mid-priced units, he brought different brochures round and we picked from the Twyford brochure, as he was doing the whole refit he actually supplied all the units, tiles and fittings and passed his trade discount on to us.

I've got one and love it. Mine was from the space range - got a spare rubber seal for when the old one wears out which it will eventually. We use a squeegie to clean off the water each time we use it so it cuts down the need to cillit bang the glass so often!

Good idea, I just use a towel to clean down the bathscreen, and never have to use a cleaner on it (or maybe once in a while); squeegie is very good idea. Thanks!

We just wipe the screen down with a sponge and then spray it with Tesco Shower Sparkle every time we use it, seems to keep it smear free.
