On phones like Galaxy S2/3 and Sony Xperia if you save the number you can "send all calls to voicemail" which helps I find.

the 0161 number has just called me! :(

They keep harrassing me with calls too
Flippin Optimax keep calling me too. I don't even need glasses, so don't need laser eye surgery. Might wind them up next time, maybe try the yes thing that someone previously posted :rotfl:

  • I have received a phone call from this number, some man was trying to talk to me but it was hard to understand because he was in a crowded place.

From what I gathered, he was trying to tell me that I am eligible for some sort of refunds from bank who have misused my credit card money and now I could claim a refund.

At first I tried to understand what kind of refund is he talking about, but then I realized this must be a scam because it didn't sound serious with all these noises in the background.

On top of this- he didn't know which bank I was with- so how could he possibly know if I'm eligible for refund?

After me telling him I'm not interested, he started trying to get information about which bank i was using, he was really quite pushy until I told him that we should end the conversation.

I think the intention of the call was to get information about my bank accounts.

No need to pick up next time! :)

I registered our landline with the tps a long time ago and just clicked on the link on this thread to check and yes, we're still registered.

On average in the week I get between 2 and 4 calls a day most days yet I always tick the boxes (or don't tick the boxes) to say I don't want anyone contacting me.

Most calls have no number when I do 1471 (doesn't display numbers on our home phone) so I would be unable to report them but I think i'll have to start reporting those that do as it's getting ridiculous.

Had one the other week who said he just wanted to ask me four questions so I was nice and said ok (after all they are just doing their job) but after seven or eight questions I stopped him and said no more, sorry and hung up! Had some really nasty PPI people who have been really rude and talk to you like your stupid.

Yes, will be reporting them from now on!
